About Nadja & Joy
Joy explored painting 35 years ago doing painting and batiks and involved Nadja
in painting 30 years ago. Nadja starting painting at the age of 5 with her.
Nadja majored in art in high school and went on
to study art gaining a BFA & MFA in Sculpture, and Post Graduate Dip in Fine
Arts, and has been represented by commercial galleries and has had several group
and solo exhibitions. Concurrently, Nadja has been a make-up artist
working within fashion and advertising, and has developed an intuitive sense of
color. Nadja is now Joy's art mentor!
Joy studied counselling and family therapy and now practices as a
psychotherapist, incorporating art in her therapeutic practice.
They both love vibrant colour and layering for a deep textured effect. They
often paint together at the family property in Hepburn Springs.
............................................Oh, and by the way, Joy and Nadja are mother and daughter!
